Split sheet
Write the deal down while everyone still agrees on it. That is the whole trick.

A record of what was agreed — not a legal document, and not something Roblox enforces.

Common splits, worked out
What each share is worth on 100,000 Robux, before the DevEx conversion. Rendered at build time, because crawlers do not run the builder above.
| Share | Robux | At $0.0038 |
|---|---|---|
| 50% | 50,000 | $190.00 |
| 40% | 40,000 | $152.00 |
| 30% | 30,000 | $114.00 |
| 25% | 25,000 | $95.00 |
| 20% | 20,000 | $76.00 |
| 10% | 10,000 | $38.00 |
Shares are floored to whole Robux, which is why a set of percentages summing to 100 can still leave a few Robux over. The builder shows that remainder rather than hiding it.
Do it before the money arrives
Every unpleasant conversation about a collaboration split happens after the payout, and almost none of them are about dishonesty. They are about two people who agreed something casually in a Discord call four months ago and now remember it differently, with real money attached.
Writing it down is not a sign of distrust. It is the thing that lets you keep trusting each other when the number turns out bigger than anyone expected.
What to put on it
- The period. A sheet covering "the game" forever is a sheet nobody can revise. One per payout period is revisable by agreement.
- Everyone who is owed something, including people paid a one-off commission — they belong in the record even if they are not ongoing partners.
- What stays in the group. An unallocated share is a decision, and writing it down stops it looking like an accounting error later.
Then check it against what Roblox will actually do
A sheet is an agreement between people. The platform pays according to the group and game splits you configured, and those run as a cascade rather than a flat percentage — the game split first, the remainder into the group split. The two can disagree quietly for months.
Model the actual mechanism and compare it with the sheet before payday, not after.
A note on paying collaborators
Money you pay out to collaborators is generally a deductible cost of your business, and money they receive is generally their income. That cuts both ways and it is worth both sides understanding it — particularly if one of you is cashing out through DevEx and passing on a share.
A dated split sheet is also the record that supports the deduction. What to keep and why.
Questions about split sheets
When should we agree the split?
Before the money arrives. Ideally before the work starts.
Almost every argument about a split is not about dishonesty — it is two people remembering a call from four months ago differently, with real money now attached. A dated sheet everyone saw in advance removes the disagreement rather than settling it.
Writing it down is not a sign of distrust. It is what lets you keep trusting each other when the number turns out larger than anyone expected.
Is a split sheet legally binding?
No, and this page does not pretend otherwise. It is a record, not a contract.
That is still worth a great deal. Almost every collaboration argument comes down to two people remembering a conversation differently once real money is involved. A dated sheet everyone saw beforehand ends most of those before they start.
If the amounts are large enough that you want something enforceable, that is a lawyer, not a web form.
Does Roblox pay people according to this?
No. Roblox pays out according to the splits configured in your group, and that mechanism is not a flat percentage — it runs the game split first and passes the remainder to the group split.
The two are worth keeping separate. This sheet is what you agreed. The group payout calculator is what the platform will do. Reconciling them is exactly the check worth running before payday.
Why does it let the percentages add to less than 100?
Because it is a normal arrangement. Teams routinely leave a share in the group for asset purchases, commissions or a buffer.
So the tool shows the unallocated slice and what it is worth rather than flagging it. Over 100% is blocked, because that money does not exist.
